Åsedaskolan is beautifully located with the advantages of a smaller school. We are just a few minutes from nature, have a nice illuminated track, an ice rink, and large green areas. The school has a high teacher qualification rate, and many of the teachers have worked at the school for a long time. This autumn, we will have newly renovated facilities for crafts and art, and a renovation of the music rooms will take place this summer.

The upper secondary school has about 170 students distributed across three parallel classes in each grade. The work is carried out in teams with a focus on the students' best interests. We also collaborate with Åsedaskolan F-6, which is located adjacent to the upper secondary school. A school nurse and a counselor are available at the school, who, together with special teachers, the principal, and special educators, participate in the school's student health team that meets once a week. The school has a safety team that meets regularly.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

You will work in completely new craft facilities where you will teach wood and metal crafts. The teaching of technology takes place in the technology room. Together with the team, you are responsible for the students' learning and development. You will base your teaching on the curriculum with central content and use working methods and techniques that meet the needs of the students you teach. You will plan, implement, and evaluate the teaching, adapting it according to the students' different prerequisites and needs. You will also collaborate with colleagues, students, and their guardians. Class mentoring is included in the position.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a certified teacher with qualifications in wood and metal crafts (65%) and technology for grades 7-9. You have the ability to adapt teaching according to the students' prerequisites and needs. You enjoy working in teams and contribute to a good working environment where collegial learning is in focus. You are flexible in the face of everyday and long-term changes that are part of the educational work. You have good collaboration skills and build relationships with both students and their guardians.
