Åbyskolan is a F–9 school with an after-school program characterized by safety, engagement, and collaboration. We have a stimulating learning environment with proximity to nature and beautiful outdoor areas that are actively used in our activities. Here, dedicated educators work together to create a school where students thrive and develop.

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are now looking for a teacher for the after-school program at Åbyskolan.

In this role, you, together with other teachers in the after-school program, are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating the education in the after-school program. You work to create a meaningful, developing, and safe environment where students' needs and interests are taken into account. Collaboration with other educators is an obvious part of the assignment to create a whole and shared understanding of students' learning and development.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has a teaching degree and certification with authorization for teaching in the after-school program. Previous experience working in after-school programs or schools is an advantage.

You are a confident and clear leader with a professional approach. You work systematically based on current governing documents and have a conscious thought about your role as an educator.

With engagement and curiosity, you create a positive work climate where students feel seen and included. You have the ability to meet students based on their different needs and conditions and stimulate their development by following up, documenting, and communicating their learning together with students and guardians.

You are flexible, have good collaboration skills, and want to contribute to the continued development of the organization.

The Children and Education Committee wants to take advantage of the qualities that a balanced gender distribution, ethnic and cultural diversity brings to the organization.
