JOB DESCRIPTION

We are now looking for a teacher in wood and metal crafts for two of our primary schools.

Lillestad School

Lillestad School is a F-6 school located in the north of Växjö. The school has just over 300 students with a student body that reflects the community we live in. We focus heavily on working with student health and the social situation of the students. At Lillestad School, everyone takes responsibility for their knowledge development, for each other, and for our shared environment. We work for good relationships and safety, which form the foundation for achieving high goal fulfillment.

Åryd School

Åryd School is located about 15 km east of Växjö. The school is beautifully situated near lakes and forests. At Åryd School, we have students from preschool to grade six, as well as an after-school program. There are 15-25 students in each class, totaling 150 students at the school. Åryd School has the opportunity to offer many positive advantages of a small school. All staff know all the students, the students know each other, and there are good conditions for a strong sense of community at the school and within the work teams. It is a safe place for students to develop both academically and socially.

Job Responsibilities

As a teacher with us, you will be part of the work team for grades 4-6, as well as a team with colleagues in the grade you will belong to. You will work on planning and implementing teaching according to the applicable curriculum. You will teach 60% at Lillestad School and 40% at Åryd School.

The collaboration between work teams and teachers allows teachers to see and meet students in different situations, thus gaining a holistic perspective on the student. At both schools, all staff share responsibility for students' learning and development. You will have strong support from the school's Student Health Team.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a teaching license with qualifications to teach wood and metal crafts.

You have a conscious thought about your role as an educator and are a clear leader who works systematically according to applicable governing documents and has a positive attitude.

You have the ability to create a good working climate with engagement, curiosity, and safety in the group and have good knowledge of meeting students' various needs based on their conditions.

You are flexible, responsible, and attentive to students' needs, but at the same time clear, able to set boundaries, and have great patience. You have a professional attitude, good initiative, and find it easy to collaborate with others.
