JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Do you want to help create a meaningful and developing leisure activity for our students? Are you passionate about working in an environment where collaboration between school and leisure is in focus? Vederslöv School is now looking for a leisure teacher responsible for the leisure center, who will also be part of the school's management team.
Vederslöv School is a charming F-6 school with just over 160 students, only a 20-minute commute from Växjö. The school is located in a quiet area with a fantastic environment close to nature, forests, meadows, and water. We have an inspiring schoolyard that invites play, games, and creativity, as well as a small gym for physical activity.
We work to maintain children's desire to learn and give students the opportunity for influence. Through collaboration between school and leisure, we aim to offer students a fun, meaningful, enjoyable, and safe activity.
As a leisure teacher with us, you will play a central role in the school's leisure activities and actively contribute to developing a safe and stimulating environment for the students. You will be responsible for planning and implementing educational activities that strengthen children's social and cognitive development. Additionally, you will be part of the school's management team, where you have the opportunity to influence the school's overall development.
The main assignment is focused on teaching and leisure time, but some school collaboration is also included in the assignment. You will be responsible for the organization of the leisure center and have operational responsibility as a team leader. Collaboration with preschool will occur, as well as developing and driving systematic quality work together with the school management.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who is a licensed leisure teacher and is a responsible and self-sufficient educator with the ability to act as a safe and trustworthy adult role model for our students.
It is important that you can handle rapid changes and challenging situations calmly and effectively. You are humble and not afraid to pitch in where needed. Since you will be collaborating closely with teachers, guardians, and other resources, good teamwork skills are required. Furthermore, we see that you are passionate about supporting children in their development and well-being.
Clarity and open communication are prerequisites for creating a trusting collaborative climate. We believe that a positive attitude is contagious and creates a better work environment and a more favorable learning environment for our students. You communicate well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing.
You have a conscious thought regarding your role as an educator and are a clear leader who works systematically based on current governing documents and has a professional approach. You strive to ensure that all students have the opportunity to develop, document their results, and inform students and guardians in a good way about how learning is progressing.
A driver's license and access to a car are required.
