JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Pär Lagerkvistskolan is located in the new district of Bredvik, about 5 km from Växjö city center. Bredvik is situated along the western shore of Norra Bergundasjön, close to forests and nature. The school started in 2017 and is a F-9 school with about 700 students. In the same building, there is also a preschool. The school has a language track aimed at developing students' language skills, which extends from preschool class to grade 9.
Our mission is to support children's and students' development and learning from a 1-16 perspective. Collaboration occurs between preschool and school to support children's and students' transitions between different stages. The goal from a 1-16 perspective is that together we will offer a creative and challenging learning environment. The F-6 facilities are located in the eastern part of the building with an inviting schoolyard. At Pär Lagerkvistskolan, there are three after-school departments where we have divided ourselves into preschool class, grades 1-2, and grades 3-6. The after-school departments are adjacent to our classrooms. We have good opportunities to utilize the school's library, dance room, and gym.
Pär Lagerkvistskolan is a relationship-building school where we work to create safety and well-being through present educators. Together with the students, we will develop and ensure that the school is a place where individuals are visible, challenged, and succeed based on each individual's specific conditions. Our goal is to create an accessible learning environment that permeates the work in the school. We work based on differentiated instruction and conscious leadership.
In this position, you will be responsible for creating teaching that gives students the opportunity to develop intellectually, socially, emotionally, aesthetically, and physically. You will plan, implement, and evaluate the educational work, both independently and together with your team. You will work closely with other teachers and staff to create a holistic approach to students' learning and development. Organized break activities are an important safety-creating activity that you will be a part of. Another important part of your role is to communicate with guardians about students' well-being and progress. Based on your education and previous experiences, the goal is to shape a position that suits both you and our organization.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are now looking for two educators who have a degree/teaching license as teachers in after-school care or are trained leisure pedagogues.
You exercise clear leadership and work systematically based on applicable governing documents and a professional approach.
You are an engaged, reflective, and driven teacher. Together with colleagues, you are responsible for creating structured and varied teaching. You plan and evaluate teaching based on the analysis of students' results. You actively work to support and motivate your students in their development, both academically and socially. You contribute to creating good learning environments so that students feel curiosity and a desire to learn.
All teachers are part of a collegial learning environment where teaching is the focus.
