JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Welcome to Sandsbro School! You can find us in Sandsbro, about 4 km north of Växjö. Here we work closely with nature and the environment, and we have Toftasjön right next to the school. Within walking distance, you can also reach Helgasjön and a fantastic environment in Fylleryd Forest with its nature reserve and beautiful walking paths. We have a large schoolyard with both forest and open areas where students can enjoy free play as well as planned outdoor activities.

Sandsbro School aims to be a relationship-building school where we work to create safety and well-being through present educators. Together with the students, they will develop and ensure that the school is a place where individuals are seen, challenged, and succeed based on their unique circumstances.

Sandsbro School is based on organizational learning where a pedagogical, digital, social, and physically accessible learning environment permeates the work at the school. We work based on differentiated instruction and a conscious and clear leadership.

Our goal is for each student to take responsibility and have influence over their learning based on their individual circumstances and abilities. They should also have the opportunity to further develop the ability to show respect for themselves, other students, staff, and our physical environment.

We are looking for a driven, innovative, and engaged leisure teacher who wants to help develop our leisure center together with other educators working in the organization.

As a leisure teacher with us, you will plan, implement, and evaluate teaching according to the applicable curriculum. You will be part of a work team across all leisure departments and work together with colleagues where you are responsible for one department. We have 4 leisure departments divided by grade levels: F-class, grades 1, 2, and 3-6.

We work collegially, and the team spirit is important as we strongly believe that it is together that we achieve the best results. Our goal is to have two educators in the classroom during the school day whenever possible, which means that as a leisure teacher, you are connected to classes in grades F-3. Leisure teachers are responsible for our recess activities every day during the morning break.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a qualified teacher with authorization to teach in leisure centers or you who are a qualified leisure educator.

As a leisure teacher, you work based on the school's governing documents with clear goals, and you stimulate all students to develop. You create engagement, curiosity, and safety in the group, and you are a clear leader.

A good social ability, professional attitude, collaboration skills, and a good, positive approach towards students, parents, and colleagues are a must.

You are open to collegial learning and have a good insight into how learning occurs in the early years. You are also clear with students and parents about how learning progresses, document results, and inform students and parents continuously. We expect you to be able to work both in teams and independently.
