JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The Komvux unit, where this position is located, consists of two parts. The first part is the main responsibility with study and career guidance as well as receiving and admitting students. You will work in the second part where SFI study path 1, adapted education, and community orientation are included. The goals of municipal adult education (Komvux) are to support and stimulate adults in their learning, providing them with the opportunity to develop their knowledge and skills to strengthen their position in working and community life, as well as to promote their personal development.

Are you a driven teacher with a strong interest in development and pedagogy? We are now offering a position as an SFI teacher for municipal adult education (Komvux), specifically study path 1, for those who want to help develop the future of our operations. The entire unit employs around 25 staff members, and you will work in a smaller team together with teachers and an assistant principal.

The position involves teaching and mentoring adult students in Swedish for immigrants study path 1. You should be interested in developing the SFI operations with the goal of helping students integrate, learn Swedish, and achieve self-sufficiency faster. Furthermore, we see that you, together with the principal, assistant principal, and other partners within the department of work and learning, want to be involved in developing and shaping our operations.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a qualified and licensed teacher in Swedish as a second language/SFI or is currently in training to become qualified shortly. We prefer candidates with previous experience as a teacher in adult education. You have a genuine interest in leading and teaching others. You are development-oriented, flexible, and not afraid of challenging tasks. You find it easy to collaborate with colleagues and focus on the best interests of the students.

As an SFI teacher, you need to:

• have excellent communication and social skills
• be confident and skilled in using digital tools and methods
• be pedagogically skilled and adapt your teaching to the needs of the students

A driving license (B) is a requirement.
