JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

In the autumn term of 2026, Växjö Municipality's education administration will open Resursgymnasiet. The purpose of Resursgymnasiet is to serve students in Växjö Municipality who are not eligible for a national high school program and wish to study in an Introduction Program. We offer education for students with extensive needs for special support where other options within the regular high school cannot meet the student's support needs. Resursgymnasiet is located in its own premises adapted to teach students who need to be in a smaller context.

The teachers at Resursgymnasiet have the competence and experience to teach and meet students with extensive support needs within the Introduction Program. They primarily teach students individually and work to find strategies to reach each student.

They are part of a team in a small unit where collaboration is crucial. Together with the team, they work to provide support to each student in their personal development and learning.

The knowledge level and students' needs are varied, and the ability to meet them where they are now is crucial. The work requires flexibility as a person and that in their approach to students, they assume that every person has the potential to develop according to their abilities. Collaboration with guardians and other support functions is included in the job responsibilities. In addition, regular teacher duties such as mentorship and administration are included.

Everyone in the work team contributes to the program's development. We work systematically with quality work, where follow-up and evaluations are continuously conducted against the students' goals. The teacher is also part of the school's subject team for their respective subjects. Additionally, collaboration occurs with staff in the work team who teach in the BAS groups at the nearby school Teknikum.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a qualified teacher with a teaching license for the later years of primary school and/or high school in Swedish, English, and/or Mathematics. We also welcome candidates who have qualifications to teach in any SO or NO subject, but this is not a requirement.

You have experience with clear pedagogical practices and low-arousal approaches. We also want you to have competence and experience working with students with NPF.

We place great importance on collaboration skills, responsibility, and personal suitability. You are calm, structured, and have a good ability to create positive relationships with students. Independence, flexibility, clarity, and creativity are also important qualities.
