JOB DESCRIPTION
Fagrabäck School is a secondary school located centrally in the eastern part of Växjö, with approximately 350 students and a total of 15 classes by autumn 2026. We are a school that welcomes students from several of the city’s residential areas and outskirts on the eastern side of Växjö, and in the classroom, many parts of the world meet, as we have multiple nationalities represented at Fagrabäck. The school operates based on common concepts such as future focus, active learning, high school competence, respect, and responsibility, which we want to permeate our operations. In our systematic quality work, we analyze at the individual, team, and unit levels to collectively develop the school's teaching and to continuously work on increasing well-being and safety at the school.
We are now looking for a teacher with a focus on Spanish, who can work with colleagues in grades 6-9. The role includes teaching, possibly mentoring, and active participation in the team's development area. You will belong to one of the school’s seven teams where you, together with colleagues, plan, implement, and evaluate the team's activities in relation to the school's and the focus's objectives. At Fagrabäck School, you benefit from working in a school with colleagues to collaborate with, both within your team and in a subject team. We encourage co-planning and co-assessment to develop collegial work to create a good working and learning environment.
The position's employment rate is 50%, or as agreed.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for a qualified teacher with authorization to teach Spanish.
You have a conscious thought about your role as an educator and are a clear leader who works structured based on applicable governing documents and with a positive attitude in collaboration with your colleagues. You have the ability to create a good working climate with engagement, curiosity, and safety in the group and possess good knowledge to meet students' diverse needs based on their different conditions. You are a person who can and wants to collaborate with others so that all students can develop, and you have a good collaboration with students and guardians. You are familiar with and have experience in mapping, pedagogical investigations, and action programs to systematically follow up on interventions. You are also positive about the development of the operations and yourself and have documented experience of working with various students.
As a teacher at Fagrabäck School, you are expected to be involved in collegial learning, and it is important that you enjoy collaborating with others, both within the subject and with other colleagues in the team.
