JOB DESCRIPTION

Fagrabäckskolan is a secondary school located centrally in the eastern part of Växjö, with approximately 350 students and a total of 15 classes by autumn 2026. We are a school that welcomes students from several of the city's residential areas and outskirts on the eastern side of Växjö, and in the classroom, large parts of the world meet, as we have several nationalities represented at Fagrabäck. The school operates based on the common concepts of future focus, active learning, high school competence, respect, and responsibility, which we want to permeate our operations. In our systematic quality work, we analyze at the individual, team, and unit levels to jointly develop the school's teaching and to continuously work on increasing well-being and safety at the school.

We are now looking for a teaching assistant for our safety team at Fagrabäckskolan, which works with students in grades 6-9, as well as teachers and other staff. You will belong to two of the school's six teams where you, together with colleagues, plan, implement, and evaluate the value-based work at the school. The tasks are varied, sometimes challenging, but as a teaching assistant, you always have an incredibly important role regarding the school's work environment, and you need to be a safe adult who can create trusting relationships with our wonderful youth. You actively work with safety and study peace, support students in social situations, may participate in lessons in teaching or in a special education group, and lead and document student matters. At Fagrabäckskolan, you benefit from working in a school environment, with colleagues to collaborate with, both within your team and also have close contact with student health.

The position is temporary and runs until the end of the term in June.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has teaching assistant training.

You have a conscious thought about your role as a teaching assistant and are a clear leader who works systematically based on applicable governing documents and with a positive approach in collaboration with your colleagues. You have the ability to create a good working climate with engagement, curiosity, and safety, and you have good knowledge to meet students' different needs based on their various conditions. You are a person who can and wants to collaborate with others so that all students can develop, and you also have good cooperation with students and guardians. You have experience and interest in value-based work and safety and study peace, as well as a drive to systematically follow up on the efforts made. You are also positive about the development of the operations and yourself and have documented experience working with different students.

As a teaching assistant at Fagrabäckskolan, you are expected to be involved in collegial learning, and it is important that you enjoy collaborating with colleagues both within and outside the team.
