JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Welcome to Hovshagaskolan, a K-6 school with 345 students located in Hovshaga, Växjö. The school is surrounded by green areas and forests, providing great opportunities for outdoor education and movement. There are convenient bike paths and good public transport connections to the city center.

We have two parallel classes in each grade, where the teams work closely together and have classrooms near each other. The schoolyard is large and inviting with many opportunities for play and activity. Our leisure teachers plan daily break activities that are highly appreciated by the students and contribute to safety and well-being, an important part of our promotion work.

A leisure center in exciting development. Over the year, we have gone from three to four departments, a change that strengthens our work with accessible and structured learning environments. The departments collaborate closely and are based on a common annual wheel that creates clarity and continuity in teaching.

Now we are taking the next step by appointing two new teachers in the leisure center. You will:

• Be part of a joint leisure work team with all the school's leisure teachers, where a common annual wheel creates structure, equality, and community between the departments.
• Work closely with a leisure teacher and another colleague in the department you belong to.
• Be an important part of our continued development journey where we build on a well-functioning, clear, and appreciated leisure center.

As a teacher in the leisure center with us, you will have a role where you:

• Plan, implement, and evaluate the teaching in the leisure center together with colleagues.
• Create safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environments.
• Work based on the students' needs, interests, and participation.
• Contribute to and develop the structures, methods, and routines of the leisure center.
• Be linked to a grade during the school day and be part of a multi-teacher setup in a grade where we see a strength in your subject competence contributing to the teaching in the grade.
• Participate in joint planning, reflection, and development within the leisure work team.
• See the full-day perspective as a strength where teaching, break activities, and leisure activities together shape the students' school day.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who:

• Is a licensed teacher in the leisure center or currently in training.
• Has a safe and clear leadership style.
• Has a good ability to create trusting relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues.
• Is curious, structured, and wants to develop teaching in line with the students' needs.
• Enjoys close collaboration and shared responsibility.
