JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Welcome to Ringsberg School - we are now looking for two teachers for teaching in the lower grades! You will be part of the F-3 work team and share class leadership with another teacher in a co-teaching model. We are seeking new colleagues to expand the school's operations and accommodate an extra class starting in the autumn term of 2026. As a lower-grade teacher at Ringsberg School, you will work part-time at the after-school center, approximately 5-10%.
Ringsberg School is a F9 school with about 270 students in central Växjö. The school's pedagogical platform is aesthetic learning processes, which have been recognized both locally and nationally. Over the years, several national and European awards have been given to the school. The activities and teaching at Ringsberg School are dynamic and forward-looking. We have been recognized multiple times as a world-class school library. We work systematically with student health and have recently focused particularly on student attendance in school, including through the employment of student coordinators. This means that class leaders in grades 4-9 have real support in the part of their role that involves mentoring students.
Participation, engagement, and personal responsibility are key principles in the school's work. Since the school's inception in 2000, teachers have been employed on a vacation basis, meaning they work 40 hours a week and apply for vacation when needed. Teachers are well acquainted with the school's governing documents and can therefore work both interdisciplinary and subject-specific. Another success factor is a holistic view of the children's school day, meaning that several teachers work part-time at the after-school center. In our school, the work team is important, and the teams are very independent in designing teaching based on aesthetic learning processes at Ringsberg School. All staff at the school also work together, for example, with the school's annual goals or with annual themes from a F-9 perspective. Your contribution will be important in creative and developmental discussions about teaching and learning.

QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone with a teaching degree and teaching certification for grades 1-3. It is also advantageous if you have qualifications for additional grades or subjects.
You are clear, engaged, action-oriented, flexible, solution-focused, and responsible. You have good collaboration skills with students, parents, and colleagues. You can work in a team but also take responsibility for making independent decisions. You are interested in aesthetic learning processes and your own professional development. You have the ability to meet students in need of special support.
