We are now looking for an engaged and competent special education teacher for grades 4–6 at Åbyskolan in Lagan.
Åbyskolan is a K-9 school located in a picturesque setting close to nature – an inspiring environment for both students and staff. There is a large sports hall and artificial turf field directly adjacent to the school, creating excellent conditions for teaching physical education and health.

RESPONSIBILITIES
We are now looking for a special education teacher for grades 4-6.
As a special education teacher with us:
- You plan and conduct your own teaching.
- You work with mapping, guidance, and observation of individual students and groups.
- You work preventively to remove barriers in various learning environments.
- You develop the work around support measures and adaptations for students in need of special support.
You are part of the student health team, which consists of the principal, special educator, counselor, and school nurse.
You are also part of an engaged team of special education teachers along with four colleagues, where collaboration and collegial learning are at the center.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for you who are a licensed teacher/special education teacher with an approved degree for teaching in primary school grades F6, or have another educational background that the employer assesses as equivalent. Experience in special education or pedagogical resource work in Swedish, mathematics, and English is an advantage.
It is also an advantage if you have experience in special education/pedagogical resource work in Swedish, mathematics, and English. We see that you have the ability to collaborate well with a solution-focused approach in a team where high expectations and collegial learning are central.
You should be able to take responsibility for your tasks, see opportunities in changes, listen and communicate constructively, value differences, and place great importance on working towards the school's mission and goals. This means that together with other educators, you lead, organize, and structure the work to create a safe learning environment. We also place great emphasis on personal suitability.
Interviews will be conducted on an ongoing basis during the recruitment process.
