About the Unit

A58 (the Planning and Economics Department) is one of several departments within the Wing Staff, which serves as the resource for the unit commander to solve the tasks of the wing and constitutes the command organization.

A58 is led by the planning manager who holds the employer responsibility for A58. The entire department consists of 11 employees. A8 consists of 6 unit economists who are supervised by the chief economist.

A8's area of work includes financial management, planning and budgeting, monitoring and analysis, evaluation, and reporting.

Main Responsibilities

As a unit economist, you will participate in the work with F 7 planning, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting. Additionally, you will participate in the development of F 7 financial management and other relevant tasks within the section.

Qualifications

• Approved high school education
• Computer skills and knowledge of Excel
• Good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish
• Ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in English
• Driver's license (manual transmission)
• Swedish citizenship

Personal Qualities

As the tasks vary between being solved in a group and individually, we are looking for someone who is a good team player while also taking initiative. You need to be able to meet deadlines and work intensively towards them while maintaining a good mood.

You possess good analytical skills to sort out essentials from large amounts of information provided at different management levels and in various timeframes.

The position requires the ability to structure and manage both your own and the team's tasks. It is an advantage if you have pedagogical skills to make financial management easy to understand.

Meritorious

• Education or experience in financial management
• Experience from larger organizations/operations
• Experience working in business systems, preferably SAP

Other

Employment type: permanent civilian employment. The position starts with a 6-month probationary period.

The position requires physical and mental capability. Travel in service occurs for both work and personal training. Since both the position and tasks are linked to a war organization, you will also be war-placed in our organization. This means, among other things, that you will receive training on what is expected of you in a heightened state of readiness.

Skaraborg Air Wing is a versatile and unique air wing. Here you will find combat aircraft as well as the Swedish Armed Forces' combined resources for transport and special aviation. We conduct basic and position training for conscripted recruits and train all Swedish and foreign Gripen pilots. The unit also participates in many missions. In Sweden, operations are located in Såtenäs, Malmen, Arlanda, and Karlsborg. Abroad, we are responsible for Gripen support in Thailand and for the Swedish personnel in the international transport aviation cooperation Heavy Airlift Wing in Hungary.
