Do you want to work in a role where your expertise in accounting contributes to the development of both the organization and society? We are now looking for an accountant for a temporary position.

With us, you will have the opportunity to become an important part of the unit and contribute to developing and ensuring quality in the administration's economic processes. The unit consists of accountants and financial administrators working on both ongoing tasks and the development of the administration's economic processes. Together, we make it easier for the people of Gothenburg to live sustainably every day, all day long.

We are now looking for someone with experience in accounting within project-driven operations and who understands how operational and investment projects affect accounting flows. The assignment is primarily focused on supporting the administration's project department and includes tasks related to customer and project invoicing as well as ongoing project accounting.

In this role, you will, among other things:

• support the organization in matters related to invoicing, primarily regarding compensation to the operational activities but also concerning investment projects
• carry out setups, coding, and closures of projects in the financial system
• support the organization in maintaining accurate project accounting, which includes activating investment projects and reallocating financial transactions
• be involved in the administration's year-end closing work
• contribute to the development of project accounting with an understanding of both operational accounting and investments

The work involves close collaboration with the administration's project managers and an active role in internal financial control. An important part of the assignment is to develop and simplify common processes and routines together with your closest colleagues to ensure high quality in accounting. The assignment also includes creating a more efficient working method for the entire administration as well as working with ongoing accounting tasks.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a university degree in economics or equivalent experience that we consider comparable. You have several years of experience in accounting and a good understanding of how operational costs and investment expenses affect accounting.

Experience from a larger municipal administration is particularly valuable. It is advantageous if you have worked in the construction industry and have been involved in system changes, organizational changes, and have experience working with MS Office and the systems Proceedo, Unit4 ERP, IFS, and Antura.

To succeed in this role, you need to have a structured working method and be able to express yourself in both speech and writing. You are attentive to the needs of the organization, understand the consequences of changes, and can make wise priorities. We are looking for a self-driven person with a solution-focused mindset and the drive to develop the work forward.
