JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for someone who wants to work as a craft teacher specializing in wood and metal for grades 3-6. The job consists of teaching in grades 3 to 6 with student groups from Tunets School, Kyrkskolan, and Halvarsgårdars School.

The teaching includes, among other things:

• the various parts of the craft work from idea development, planning, production, and reflection on the work process
• knowledge of tools and machines, craft techniques, and various subject-specific terms and concepts
• craft and craft traditions from different cultures as sources of inspiration for one's own creation.
• the significance of the craft subject for sustainable development through resource management and recycling of materials.

As a wood craft teacher, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on teaching, as well as grading and assessment. The assessment is done in close collaboration with a textile craft teacher.

You will be part of a team for grades 4-6 where you collaborate with teachers during team meetings, through collegial learning, and during joint assessments. You will actively participate in the development work of the organization.

QUALIFICATIONS

Basic requirements for the position:

• Certified teacher specializing in wood and metal craft with qualifications for grades 3-6, possessing good subject knowledge and several years of experience in the profession.
• Excellent oral and written skills in Swedish.

Personal qualities:

• You are confident in your leadership role and conduct lessons with clarity, good structure, and order.
• You have a good ability to build relationships with many students and to communicate and collaborate with students, colleagues, and guardians.
• You have the ability to see and meet each individual student and have the flexibility to adapt teaching, tasks, and methods according to the needs of the student and the group.

Desirable qualifications:

• Education and experience in craftsmanship and construction technology.
• Other pedagogical education.
• Driver's license B.
