Domarhagsskolan is a grades 7-9 school located in central Avesta municipality. We are adjacent to Karlfeldtgymnasiet and share some facilities with them. The principal's area consists of a secondary school with four parallel classes, an adapted primary school for grades 7-9, and two special education groups. Currently, we have 320 students at the school.

The position as a craft teacher focuses on teaching wood and metal crafts, and you will work closely with the teaching teacher in textile crafts with planning and assessment. The position includes teaching and regular teacher duties.

The role includes teaching classes in grades 7-9 as well as teaching in smaller groups, both with students in the adapted primary school 7-9 and students in special education groups.

We place great emphasis on pedagogical leadership in the classroom. We are looking for someone who has the ability to motivate and create engagement while being a clear leader. You are confident in yourself, and through your way of leading and organizing, you create a safe and educational classroom situation. We believe that order, clarity, and structure combined with attentiveness and care bring out the best in our students. Good judgment and high integrity are important as we want you to be a positive adult role model for the students.

We are looking for someone who is communicative and has the ability to build trusting relationships with both colleagues and students, guardians, and other actors around the student. Your pedagogical strength lies in your ability to adapt teaching based on results, evaluations, and the individual student's needs. To achieve this, you need to have a good understanding of how different people absorb information and knowledge, as well as the ability to adapt your teaching methods at both group and individual levels.

You also need to be well acquainted with using various systems and software programs used in our daily work, such as learning platforms and Office programs. You have knowledge of the school's governance system and grading. For a permanent position, you must have a teaching license.
