Torsångs Preschool consists of five departments. Here, 18 staff members work with around 80 children. In each department, there are preschool teachers and childcare workers who work together to create a fun, safe, and educational environment for the children every day. Close collaboration between the departments is a given for us, and we expect your skills, thoughts, and approach to contribute to creating a whole that gives the children the best conditions for learning and development. We believe that diversity is good and see that variation in skills and experiences is a strength that enriches both the work team and the children's everyday lives.

Torsångs Preschool, together with Ornäs Preschool, forms a preschool area led by a principal. The preschools collaborate during workplace meetings, development days, and breaks. The preschool teachers in the area meet every month for collegial learning and joint professional development at meetings led by our development leader. The central children's health special educator participates in the unit's systematic quality work.

Torsångs Preschool is located on the outskirts of Borlänge in a picturesque area close to forests, nature, and other recreational areas. The preschool is co-located with Torsångs School, which includes grades F-3. This co-location ensures that transitions from preschool to preschool class and after-school care occur smoothly and in close collaboration between the different staff groups. The departments have access to the school's movement room, which provides excellent opportunities for movement joy, physical activity, and motor challenges. The unit also has a branch of the city library, in addition to our own preschool library. In recent years, we have actively worked with NTA and clarifying pedagogy.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a preschool teacher, you are responsible for leading the department's work in accordance with the preschool curriculum. Together with colleagues, you drive the educational work so that the children are offered a learning, joyful, and stimulating education every day. You will plan, implement, follow up, and evaluate children's learning processes, your methods, the effects of teaching, and the education as a whole. You are expected to contribute your knowledge and experiences to develop the education.

You translate your theoretical knowledge into practical application so that each child is offered the best conditions for learning and development in joyful forms. Together with colleagues, you create teaching and learning environments that spark children's curiosity to explore and discover within various curriculum areas.

QUALIFICATIONS

Basic requirements for the position:

• Licensed preschool teacher and thus takes own responsibility and initiatives based on the role and assignment of the preschool teacher.
• Good communication skills and good knowledge of the Swedish language in both spoken and written form so that you can communicate the assignment with different target groups and document according to the preschool teacher's responsibilities.

Personal qualities:

• Development-oriented and open to developing and adapting methods based on the needs of the children or the operations.
• Ability to learn from experiences and be open to feedback from others to continue developing in the professional role and for the education to reach higher quality.
• Ability to share ideas, knowledge, and experiences with colleagues.
• Ability to create trusting relationships and good collaboration with children, parents, and colleagues.

Desirable qualifications:

• Experience and knowledge of Unikum, clarifying pedagogy, and training in ICDP.
