JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Being a special education teacher at Kungsgård School means that you meet many different students with various needs related to special support and learning challenges. You work both directly with students and in close collaboration with teaching staff to create good conditions for students' learning and development.

You are responsible for planning, implementation, documentation, and evaluation of teaching together with colleagues and in close collaboration with teaching staff. The work can take place both individually with students, in smaller groups, or through support in the classroom. You contribute your expertise in adapting teaching based on students' different needs.

The school's special educator, principal, and counselor are available for support, guidance, and consultation in your work. As a special education teacher, you are an important part of the school's student health team (EHT) and contribute educational perspectives in the work surrounding students' learning and well-being.

The role also includes working with educational assessments and investigations for special support as well as developing, following up, and evaluating action plans. You also collaborate with guardians and other school staff to create a comprehensive view of the student's needs and development.

QUALIFICATIONS

For this position, you must be a licensed special education teacher with a focus on mathematics development and/or language, writing, and reading development. You have excellent knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

The work requires a high degree of independence and flexibility. You have the ability to create good relationships and a positive attitude as well as a strong commitment to students' learning. You are structured in your work and contribute to creating a holistic view of the assignment at our school. Furthermore, you have good collaboration skills and work well with different professions.

You also have the ability to handle demands and setbacks by performing in high-pressure situations and addressing difficult challenges constructively. You maintain an optimistic and solution-focused attitude even when the work places high demands.
