Job Description for Primary School Teacher at Gruvrisskolan

Gruvrisskolan is one of Falun's largest F-6 schools with approximately 500 students. The school is located in the nature-friendly district of Galgberget, which is part of Falun, where both new villas and apartment buildings are being constructed. The school has a beautiful outdoor environment and excellent facilities, along with a staff group that is highly motivated to develop the operations.

At Gruvrisskolan, the team culture is strong, and here, after-school staff and primary school teachers work together in grade-specific teams. Most of the teachers at the school are qualified with extensive experience, and those who are not qualified are nearing the end of their training, which ensures high quality in our operations.

Here, students are at the center, and our collaboration to ensure their success is essential to us. Our quality work focuses significantly on health, safety, and students' knowledge development. Gruvrisskolan has a student health group consisting of principals, special teachers, a special educator, a counselor, and a school nurse, all of whom work full-time at the school. All special teachers are linked to the various teams, and the special educator works across the school.

This autumn, we are now looking for someone who wants to work in one of our teams at the lower grades together with other teaching colleagues and staff from the after-school program.

Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities include:

• Planning, implementing, and evaluating teaching - individually and in the team.
• Working with extra adaptations for your students.
• Shared mentorship within the team.
• You are expected to be actively involved in the school's development work.

Qualifications

The following is required for the role:

• Teaching certification with qualifications to teach in grades F-6.

Personal Qualities

We are looking for someone who can see the big picture and prioritize accordingly. You are a problem solver who uses your knowledge flexibly. You also adapt easily to new circumstances and can take the initiative. Most importantly, you are good at collaborating towards common goals.

Desirable Qualifications

• Previous experience teaching grades F-6
• Supervising student teachers

Employment Conditions

Temporary full-time position until 2026-12-14. Start date in August or as agreed.
