Södra School is a popular and multicultural F-6 school located within walking distance from Falun city center, by Lake Tisken. Approximately 350 students attend the school from grade F to 6. The school was built about 5 years ago.

Our task as staff at the school is to meet each student based on their individual circumstances. This includes all students, those in need of more support in their development and those who need more challenges to reach their best selves.

Job Responsibilities

You will be a teacher in Swedish as a second language, primarily in grades 4-6. You will work closely with other teachers.

As an SVA teacher, you are expected to plan lessons and follow up on students' development, collaborate with other educators and staff, and maintain contact with guardians.

Qualifications

The following is required for the role:

• You are a certified teacher and trained in Swedish as a second language
• You have very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written

As a person, you find it easy to make independent decisions with the students' best interests as a clear starting point. You are confident in your profession and can lead a group of students with both structure and warmth.

You enjoy collaborating well with your colleagues and have an open and respectful approach towards guardians. Furthermore, we see that you are unpretentious, attentive, and have great patience – qualities that help you create a safe and inclusive learning environment.

We are looking for someone who enjoys the teaching role and actively contributes to a positive work climate. You have a genuine desire to support students in their development and to be a stable and engaged adult in their daily lives.

Desirable Qualifications

• Experience as an SVA teacher, preferably in a multicultural school

Employment Conditions

The position is a permanent full-time employment, starting in August 2026.
