Selja-Långlets Friskola Economic Association started a F-6 school in the autumn term of 2011 with around 60 students. At the same time, we launched an after-school program and a parent cooperative preschool for 20 children aged 1 to 5 years. The entire operation focuses on experience-based and cooperative learning. All activities are housed under one roof in Selja-Långlets school, located in a rural environment with nature and forest right at the doorstep, just outside Mora.

The preschool team consists of five staff members, including a principal/childcare worker, a preschool teacher, two childcare workers, and a resource person.

The school team consists of licensed primary school teachers and after-school teachers with complementary subject competencies. The principal/school manager combines their position with a subject and career position. The principals of the school and preschool collaborate on several areas concerning, for example, work environment, safety, development, and collaboration of the operations.

The kitchen is staffed by kitchen personnel responsible for a reception kitchen where breakfast, lunch, and snacks are prepared and served. The preschool children eat in their facilities, while school and after-school students eat in the dining hall and outdoors during certain periods of the year.

We are looking for a preschool teacher to lead the education in the preschool and ensure a safe and developing environment where care, development, and learning form a whole. We seek someone who can collaborate in a small team where we plan, implement, evaluate, and develop together. We value your commitment, pedagogical competence, and your ability to take initiative.

The foundation of our work is a close and genuine relationship with each child and open and honest communication with parents. In our daily interactions with the children, we are active, present, and co-researching educators. We conduct systematic quality work where evaluation and analysis lay the groundwork for the development of our operations. In teaching and play, we start from the children's interests and experiences, as well as in creating the children's learning environment both indoors and outdoors. We have the forest and nature around the corner that we utilize in our operations. The platform Tyra is one of the tools we use for close and trusting collaboration with homes in our documentation.

The position will commence as soon as possible. Selection is ongoing. Probationary employment for 6 months.
