Elefanten Preschool is a parent cooperative in central Leksand with strong engagement from both parents and staff. The preschool offers childcare of the highest quality to its member families.

With a genuine cultural environment where the forest and Lake Siljan are just steps away, and with dedicated staff, children are inspired to play and learn in the best possible way. Our goal is to offer an activity that is developmental for both children and staff, providing children with security and good prerequisites for moving forward in life.

Elefanten is certified as a "Dream of the Good" preschool. We work with four methods: movement, silence, reflection, and touch. The purpose of "The Dream of the Good" is to give children at an early age the tools to handle stress and anxiety. All staff have basic training in the four methods as well as further training in child-adapted yoga and qi-gong. This is not just a job, but an approach we have at Elefanten Preschool.

The preschool serves organic and locally produced food cooked in our own kitchen.

Elefanten currently has two departments but plans to expand with a third department in the autumn of 2026. The staff group currently consists of three preschool teachers (one of whom is also the principal), two childcare assistants, one resource person, and one cook. This cohesive staff group works with engagement, a forward-looking attitude, and strong drive towards the preschool's set goals. The activity is in constant development, and with great curiosity, we follow the development of the times. At Elefanten, we work with our systematic quality work through the preschool app TYRA. Elefanten is a preschool with a wonderful atmosphere, close collaboration between educators, secure children, a flexible way of working, and active parents.

Qualifications:

We are looking for you who are a childcare assistant or have equivalent experience. Together with other colleagues, you will work goal-oriented and engaged in accordance with the pedagogy that Elefanten follows.

Great importance will be placed on personal qualities. We want you to be passionate about working with children, initiative-taking, engaging, and positive. Naturally, you are responsible with good teamwork skills and are flexible.

It is an asset if you have experience in working with systematic quality work in accordance with the preschool curriculum.

Duration/Working hours:

The position involves a temporary assignment for 1 year with the possibility of extension, 100% employment.

Start date:

Immediately, or by agreement.
