Östra School is looking for a Teacher for Leisure Center/Leisure Leader

Östra School is Falu Municipality's most central F-6 school, expecting around 250 students for the 26/27 school year. The school is located in the heart of Falun, close to the Lugnet area, and has a very nice schoolyard. We have good student results, which is a testament to systematic and good pedagogical work from everyone at the school. Together, we work for a good working climate that leads to a safe school experience for the students who come here, and we value good dialogue with guardians. We are also proud participants in RF/SISU Dalarna's Movement Initiative in schools. We now need to complement our operations with more engaged employees.

We are now looking for you who want to be part of our team and contribute to further developing the leisure center. You will be part of a working team where you are expected to work according to the team's objectives, as well as plan and conduct teaching in the leisure center.

Responsibilities

In the role of teacher in the leisure center/leisure leader, you will work with students during the school day as well as in the leisure center. The work includes teaching, break activities, planning, implementation, documentation, and follow-up, as well as evaluation of the operations according to set goals and guidelines. Through a clear pedagogical approach, you create a stimulating and safe environment for the students before, during, and after the school day.

In addition to teaching, other tasks at the school include opening and closing the leisure center, contacts with guardians, and collaboration with colleagues. You are expected to contribute to a positive working climate at the workplace.

Qualifications

The role requires:

• You are a certified teacher with a focus on working in leisure centers or have documented equivalent experience
• Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing

You work solution-focused and show a strong commitment to students' development. By being relationship-building, clear, calm, and secure, you create stability even in pressured situations. You take initiative and drive activities and projects when others hesitate, and you communicate openly by addressing questions and challenges directly. You have good self-awareness, are aware of both strengths and areas for development, and are receptive to collegial support when needed.

Meritorious Qualifications

• Experience in planning, structuring, and conducting teaching and activities in accordance with the school's and leisure center's curriculum, focusing on creating a safe and learning environment for students
• Good knowledge of extra adjustments and inclusive working methods
• Experience with low-affect responses and working with children within the NPF spectrum
• Multilingualism

Employment Conditions

Permanent full-time employment with start in August or according to agreement.
