About the Trainee Program

For nine months, you will work approximately 80 percent with your employer on the tasks included in the trainee position. In your work, you will have the support of an experienced mentor. The remaining time, you will participate with other trainees in a development program. The program provides you with knowledge about how municipalities, regions, and government agencies are organized, as well as deepening your understanding of areas that are cornerstones of the organizations, such as sustainability, economics, crisis management, and community building.

During four weeks, you will have what is called a broadening period. This means you will be a trainee in one of the other organizations included in the program to gain broader insight. At the end of the program, we will assess the conditions of the organization and your interest in continued employment.

Your New Workplace

You will be part of an engaged and competent team that is passionate about community service and development. The work takes place in an inspiring and creative environment where we together develop the library's operations.

In preparation for the development of Sundsvall Municipality's new library plan, which is to be adopted before 2028, we want to deepen our understanding of how residents experience our services and our service. As a business developer, you will play a central role in this work by planning and conducting surveys, analyzing results, and contributing with materials that strengthen the library's continued development based on citizens' needs and perspectives. The work is carried out in close collaboration with the team at the Culture Magazine library and local libraries.

Job Responsibilities

As a trainee in business development focusing on evaluation and citizen dialogue at Sundsvall City Library, you will work with:

  • Conducting quantitative and qualitative customer surveys and contributing with UX methods and proposals for new working methods.
  • Analyzing survey results and generating insights to improve our service.
  • Collaborating with library staff and actively contributing to the development of the operations.

Qualifications

You have a degree in a field that the employer deems relevant for the assignment. At the time of application, your academic degree should be no more than three years old, and you should be able to present your diploma. You are fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written.

You are self-driven and take responsibility for planning, structuring, and driving your work forward. You are flexible and can adapt to changing conditions without losing focus or quality. Furthermore, you thrive in collaboration and contribute to an open and developing work climate by sharing knowledge and valuing others' perspectives. Great emphasis is placed on personal qualities.

About the Recruitment Process

As a first step in the recruitment process, we use Hubert.ai to conduct a structured and fair interview. After your application, you will receive an email with a link to a digital interview that takes about 20 minutes. Please note that it may take a day before the link arrives.

Based on the responses, a number of candidates will proceed to a personality test, the results of which will form the basis for the continued selection.
