At the Community Building Department in Ånge Municipality, there is the Technical Unit where a small workgroup collaborates to manage and develop several vital community services. The Technical Unit is responsible for Water and Sewage, Waste Management, and Streets/Parks. The water and sewage operation manages the operation and maintenance of about 80 facilities such as waterworks, sewage treatment plants, and pumping stations, as well as a pipeline network consisting of approximately 430 km of pipes. In the water and sewage organization, there are operations technicians, construction workers/pipe layers, and a water engineer. The waste management operation is mostly handled by hired contractors and includes household waste collection, emptying of individual septic tanks, a recycling center, and 10 recycling stations. Streets/Parks manage municipal roads, squares, parks/playgrounds, and other public places. This responsibility includes, for example, winter road maintenance, green space management, operation and maintenance of street lighting, paving work, and developing local traffic regulations. As a business developer, you will work closely with the unit manager and colleagues in daily operations. The role is broad and varied, where you both support strategic issues and participate in practical improvements and various projects. Here, we work without fixed boundaries between roles and departments. We collaborate, solve challenges together, and adapt to the needs of the operation. This requires flexibility, humility, and a strong holistic perspective.

The tasks are varied and can be adapted over time. You will, among other things: support and drive business development within water and sewage, waste management, and streets/parks, work on improving routines, working methods, and processes, provide support to managers in planning, follow-up, and quality work, work with goals, follow-up, and simpler analyses, participate in development projects and change work, contribute to digitization and simplification of administrative processes, collaborate with other units, authorities, contractors, and residents to create robust and future-proof solutions.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Relevant education and/or experience that the employer considers equivalent
• Experience in business development, coordination, administration, or a similar role
• Good ability to structure, prioritize, and drive issues forward
• Ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing
• Good computer skills and experience with administrative systems
• It is an advantage if you have experience in municipal operations or work in technical areas such as water, waste management, or streets/parks, but we place great importance on personal suitability.
