In our communications and customer service department, we work to meet the needs of both operations and municipal residents – from strategic branding work and communication support to community guidance. The department is responsible for leading and developing the municipality's strategic work with internal and external communication, branding, graphic profile, and digital channels.

We are now looking for a communicator to join the department.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a communicator with us, you will work broadly and closely with the operations to strengthen both internal and external communication. You will serve as a support function helping managers and operations in our various administrations to convey the right message, in the right channel, and at the right time.

Your role includes, among other things:

  • Planning, writing, quality assuring, and publishing content for internal and external channels (e.g., news, web, intranet, and social media).
  • Providing advice and operational support in communication matters to managers and operations.
  • Developing communication materials and texts related to governance and follow-up, e.g., reports, annual reports, decision-making documents/preparations, and project communication.
  • Contributing to clear, consistent, and target group-adapted communication in a politically governed organization.
  • Working with proactive communication and contributing to the municipality's crisis and preparedness communication as needed.
  • Collaborating closely with colleagues within the communications function and with other support functions in the organization.

The work is varied and intense but always meaningful! You will work in a competent communications team that enjoys working together and rolls up their sleeves when needed.

Our department also includes our customer service, Kom in, and together we are the municipality's face to our residents and inward to our colleagues.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a confident and experienced communicator who enjoys creating order, direction, and clarity, both internally and externally. You thrive when working closely with operations, making the complex understandable, and helping others communicate better.

To succeed in this role, we see that you have:

  • Education as a communicator or other education that the employer assesses as equivalent.
  • Several years of experience as a communicator, where you have worked with both internal and external communication.
  • Very good ability to write in Swedish and adapt messages based on target group, channel, and situation.
  • Experience working as a support function, with advice, collaboration, and deliveries in everyday life (sometimes planned, sometimes quickly).
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments simultaneously without losing structure, focus, or quality.
  • Good digital skills and comfort working with various digital tools.

We see it as especially valuable if you also have:

  • Experience from a politically governed organization, preferably a municipality or other public sector.
  • Experience with web publishing and working in publishing tools.
  • Experience in developing materials and texts related to governance and follow-up, e.g., reports, annual reports, decision-making documents/preparations, or project communication. Also, experience in interviewing and creating communication based on meetings and events.
  • Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud.
  • As a person, you are service-oriented and collaborative, but also clear and solution-focused. You enjoy when communication is useful, and you have a good sense of tone, responsibility, and trust.
