Your new workplace
The Department of Individual and Labor Market Affairs includes Individual and Family Care, labor market, and adult education.
The department consists of four operational areas, and within the areas of Children, Youth, and Family as well as Substance Abuse and Mental Health, we are now seeking two method and quality coordinators for the Department of Individual and Labor Market Affairs.
Since July 2025, we have a new social services law that has replaced the old law from 1980. Within the area of social services, an exciting and important transformation work is underway, which overall means making social services more adapted to today's society. The new law places higher demands on preventive and knowledge-based work, accessibility, and planning of social services interventions. Additionally, the new law strengthens the child rights perspective.
As a method and quality coordinator, you will play a central role in the transformation work of the operational area and the department related to the intentions of the new social services law, where work with quality and operational development is central. You will be an important support function in the ongoing transformation, where follow-up, analysis, and development work together with other functions such as management groups, unit managers, and employees will contribute to effective interventions for our target groups, as well as ensuring that political goals are met.
Your contribution in the role of quality and method coordinator
The role includes not only producing documentation but also analyzing results, drawing conclusions, and formulating concrete proposals for action that can be implemented in the operations and serve as a basis for decisions at both operational and political levels.
The work requires a professional understanding of what quality in social services means and demands good knowledge of applicable legislation, regulations, and other governing documents. The role requires the ability to translate these requirements into a systematic quality and follow-up work and to make priorities that contribute to a sustainable and effective social service in the long term.
Your main tasks will be:
- Participate in leading and driving the ongoing transformation work within social services with a particular focus on Children and Youth and Adults.
- Quality follow-up of operations
- Process, analyze, and summarize statistics, reports, or similar within the quality area
- Plan and conduct development dialogues with both users and colleagues in the operations
- Represent the operational area in development assignments, e.g., digitalization
- Monitor the social services area
- Produce statistics, documentation, write reports, summaries
Your qualifications and experience
We are looking for someone with a degree in social work or another higher education degree deemed relevant for the assignment by the employer.
- You have broad knowledge of legal requirements, regulations, and guidelines within the field of social services.
- Experience working within the field of social services
- Experience in quality work
- Experience writing reports, investigations, and similar
- You have good pedagogical skills, can inspire and engage, and are used to being a presenter in various contexts
- You have excellent ability to express yourself in speech and writing
- High digital competence, as well as the ability to independently understand and use various digital tools
It is an advantage if you have experience driving development and change processes in larger organizations and relevant further education at the university level.
To succeed in this assignment, your personal qualities are very important, and we will place great emphasis on them in this recruitment. A central part of the assignment is the ability to lift your gaze from the operational and consistently maintain a strategic perspective in an organization characterized by urgent needs and event-driven work.

In addition to your communicative skills, you have good knowledge of the Swedish language, which gives you a strong ability to express yourself clearly and pedagogically in complex issues in both speech and writing. For you, it is also important to have order and structure, and you thrive in an administrative role where you can take responsibility for your tasks and independently structure, prioritize, and drive your work both individually and in collaboration with others.
