JOB DESCRIPTION

With us, children with various disabilities live. Our children's home is growing, and we need new colleagues for our existing, excellent workgroup. We are also looking for staff for our short-term accommodation.

As a support assistant, your tasks will be to provide attentive care and support to children in our children's home in a home-like environment, in close collaboration with guardians, other colleagues, schools, habilitation, home healthcare, and other internal and external actors.

Your work will include handling medications, various aids such as respiratory and mobility aids. Various rehabilitative interventions in the form of light training are also part of the daily work. Your task is to help fulfill the goals in the LSS plan regarding self-determination, participation, and integrity for the individual user. You will perform everyday and planned support measures based on the user's individual needs and wishes in accordance with LSS. Examples of tools for this are the establishment of implementation plans, other documentation, and evidence-based methods. You should contribute to creating a meaningful and safe everyday life, where the activities are shaped according to the children's specific strengths, interests, and needs.

Our goal is to provide the best care and support in a safe environment with a focus on the Convention on the Rights of the Child and IBIC. You will work together with your colleagues to provide support in a way that strengthens the individual's confidence in their abilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

As a support assistant, you are required to have education at the equivalent of high school level, with a focus on care and competence in healthcare and support, or alternatively, other education aimed at LSS activities that the employer assesses as equivalent. You should have experience and a strong interest in working with children who need medical interventions.

Other competencies: It is advantageous to have worked with children with various disabilities and delegated tasks. You are confident, responsible, and stable with good collaboration and communication skills.

Scope: 75-100%. We are looking for both permanent employees and temporary staff during the day. For permanent positions, a six-month probationary period applies.
