Stenungsund Municipality is an expanding coastal municipality with approximately 28,030 inhabitants, a strong business community, residential areas close to the sea, and good communication opportunities. The municipality is organized into an administration with four sectors. The Social Services Sector includes four operations: special housing/municipal health and medical care, individual and family care, ordinary housing/personal assistance, and disabilities.

The disability services are divided into LSS and psychiatry. In our municipality, there are ten LSS homes, three psychiatric homes, and housing support. We also have a short-term accommodation for children and daily activities. We work to provide care, help, and support based on each individual's needs.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As an employee with us, you will work as a support assistant and be a support in the individual's home and daily life. This involves everything from assisting with personal hygiene such as showering, toilet visits, and dressing/undressing. Other tasks include providing support with household chores such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, and leisure activities. The staff's goal is to collectively contribute to strengthening the care recipient's ability to actively participate in community life, to live and reside under safe conditions, and to create a meaningful everyday life. Daily activities are guided by the individual's specific needs, conditions, and wishes.

Working within social services means that you perform interventions according to the Act on Special Services (LSS) and the Social Services Act, care and support interventions, and possibly perform health and medical tasks on delegation.

You will receive a good introduction with shadowing, all to create security for you when performing your tasks with us this summer. If the work requires medication management, you will be called for training.

The working hours are varied and scheduled, and you may work days, evenings, and weekends. We also have night shifts, and some workplaces have on-call shifts. The exact times vary depending on where you will work.

Requirements:

• Fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written
• Have a criminal record check performed for work within LSS at the time of employment
