We are now looking for a support pedagogue for Videgården's group home. The residence is located in beautiful Västra Bodarna. The residence is staffed around the clock, which means that all staff, support assistants as well as support pedagogues, work on a schedule with varying working hours.

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a support pedagogue with us, you will largely work to support the residents in their daily lives through a low-arousal approach and with clear pedagogy. You will map resources, interests, and skills of the user with a focus on increasing their quality of life and participation in society.

You will function as a contact person for users, which includes being responsible for and designing clear structures, building meaningfulness, establishing implementation plans, documenting, making contacts, and collaborating with representatives, guardians, daily activities, and more.

Communication with users, relatives, and colleagues occurs in an empathetic, attentive, and respectful manner. You adapt your communication according to the recipient, target group, and situation. You are involved in creating a developing everyday life for users based on new and established evidence-based methods and are part of a team with support assistants and method developers. You will also be part of a network with other support pedagogues in the department.

It is important for us to view the work group as a whole, where we create a dynamic work environment through collaboration. As a support pedagogue, you work in accordance with our pedagogical approach and its implementation. You provide pedagogical support to the support assistants in everyday work and work for an open and unpretentious reflection climate.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who:

• Is an educated support pedagogue with a focus on LSS, or other education that the employer assesses as equivalent.
• Has documented professional experience with the target group, including people with neuropsychiatric disabilities.
• Has a B driver's license

As a person, you are flexible as you may need to reprioritize work based on changing conditions. You are good at inspiring and getting others involved in your thinking. You have a good ability to collaborate with others and to work supportively and structured. In this role, it is required that you can express yourself well in speech and writing. You feel comfortable conveying theoretical knowledge to a work group and making it understandable and applicable in practical work. You are humble about your task, while standing firm in the conviction of the importance of pedagogical and value-based work.

To succeed in the role, you enjoy acting as the spider in the web and are secure in the values that the organization stands for. You need to function well in challenging situations and maintain calmness and curiosity in all situations. You are someone who truly wants to make a difference for the individual and want to be the tool for good living conditions, which is why we will place great emphasis on personal suitability.
