Support Assistant for the Care and Welfare Administration

In the city of Mölndal, we are proud to have Sweden's most important jobs where we together create the best possible everyday life for our citizens. With knowledge, courage, and creativity, we develop our operations and contribute to making Mölndal an even better place to live and work. Welcome to make a difference in people's daily lives every day!

The Care and Welfare Administration, with its approximately 1500 employees, is one of the administrations in the city of Mölndal and includes elderly care, support for disabilities, and health care.

Lejonslättsgatan 30 and 36 are two residences with special services located about 20 meters apart. Lejonslättsgatan is close to nature in Kikås with proximity to Mölndal's center, commuter trains, restaurants, and cultural life. We also have close access to forests and nature as well as swimming areas. The residences each have eight apartments and are aimed at elderly individuals with intellectual disabilities, NPF, dementia, and acquired brain injuries. We are now looking for a new colleague who wants to help create the best possible everyday life for our users.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a support assistant, you will work to support the user in their daily life by creating a comprehensible, manageable, and meaningful existence, as well as working preventively and in a structured manner. You provide professional support and strengthen each individual's self-esteem and belief in their own abilities - all work is based on the user's individually established implementation plan.

You will be involved in establishing and/or maintaining social networks. Your role also involves supporting users in developing their communication skills and sense of belonging, as well as providing support in social activities, both individually and in groups. The goal is to support full participation in society based on each person's individual wishes.

You will provide support in all everyday tasks such as planning, personal hygiene, clothing care, laundry, cleaning, nutrition, cooking, shopping, finances, medication, social training, culture, and leisure.

You belong to a team of support assistants and support pedagogues. You will work with social documentation in the documentation system Treserva and continuously follow up and revise implementation plans. We work with operationally adapted and flexible schedules. The needs are continuously adapted based on the needs of the operation, which means you need to be prepared to work during the day, evenings, and weekends.

We value your ideas and engagement, and together we create conditions for development and an independent life for our users.

Does this sound like something for you? Apply today and become part of our fantastic team!

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has education as a support assistant, nursing assistant, or other education that the employer assesses as equivalent.
  • Has experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism in residences with special services.
  • Has knowledge of low-arousal approaches, clarifying pedagogy, and AAC.
  • Has good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form.

It is an advantage if you have experience in psychiatry and dementia as well as experience with Timecare and Treserva.

As a support assistant, you show respect and consideration for those you meet in your professional role. You have an open and positive attitude as you base your actions on the user's needs. You have the interest, willingness, and ability to help others, and you strive to present solutions. In your work, it is important that you act independently based on what the situation requires without needing support from others. It is also important that you have the ability to work together with others to perform tasks and achieve goals. You understand the common mission, act accordingly, and contribute to the whole.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Welcome with your application!
