About the Job
Do you want to be part of building something important from the ground up? We are now looking for a therapist to complete our security team.
Together, we create a safer future for children and young people in vulnerable situations.
We are facing an exciting development as we are starting a new security team within one of our resource units. The team will work according to the Signs of Safety approach and with the tool of safety planning, a structured and network-based working method aimed at creating safety and security for children who are placed or at risk of placement.
The mission of the security team is to work with children aged 0-18 who, due to adverse conditions at home, are placed in emergency homes where the criteria in Section 2 of the LVU are met. The interventions aim to ensure the child's immediate protection, stabilize the situation around the child, and work for lasting change in the family and its network so that the child can permanently return home. As a therapist, your role includes planning for and gradually implementing increased contact between the child and biological parents, ensuring that these contacts do not jeopardize the child's well-being. An important part of your role is to work in a family therapy context with a long-term structured treatment to generalize the changes in the network.
A central part of the security team's working method is to be present in the family's daily life and in the environments where risks actually arise. This means working at the family's home and their network at times that suit them, allowing the network to benefit from the intervention without risking lost work time or education and actively participate in the minimum of 3-4 meetings per week that are necessary.
The work is characterized by high complexity and a changing risk landscape. The child's protection needs can change rapidly, and situations that pose acute danger often arise outside of office hours. To meet this, you as a therapist will be on call every fourth week to be available by phone for the network and family if they need it.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with a degree in social work or another behavioral science higher education. You also need to have a good knowledge of applicable legislation (SoL, LVU) and at least three years of experience working with children and young people in treatment. Experience from outpatient interventions, a systems-theoretical approach, solution-focused work, and network work is considered meritorious. It is also an advantage if you have step 1 training in CBT.
We see that you, as an applicant, are confident in your professional role and enjoy working flexibly and can act quickly in acute situations. You are responsible, collaborative, and structured, taking responsibility for your tasks and having a good ability to work closely with your team colleagues. You work well with others by listening, showing interest, and respect. You understand the common mission and work to make it as good as possible.
Furthermore, we see that you have a good demeanor and are relationship-building, respectful, and clear in your communication. You are pleasant and helpful to others even in a stressful situation. You are flexible and responsible, with the ability to handle changes.
A valid driver's license (B) is required for the position. Selection and interviews will be conducted on an ongoing basis. We warmly welcome your application!
Other
For positions that involve direct and regular contact with children under 18 years of age, you must be able to present a valid extract from the criminal record before you start working with us. To ensure the quality of the recruitment process, meet the requirements of GDPR, and enable good communication with our applicants, we ask you to submit your application digitally and not via email or letter.
