About us

Bergtallen HVB is a family-oriented residential care facility located on the outskirts of Blidsberg, a few miles north of Ulricehamn. It is situated in a secluded area of the community, overlooking vast agricultural landscapes. Here, children have a calm environment with plenty of space to move around without the risk of conflicts with the surroundings.

The property is spacious with more children's rooms than the number of children, which provides great opportunities to adapt the occupancy based on who is currently living here and for staff to sleep on the same floor as the children. The layout of the house, with the ability to utilize many rooms on three different levels, facilitates when children have different needs.

Here, children aged 8 to 11 years, both girls and boys, live with complex psychosocial and emotional issues. These may manifest as low impulse control, outwardly aggressive behavior, self-harm, isolation, lack of social skills, and problematic school absenteeism. It is also common for our children to have experienced trauma and early caregiving neglect. We strive to create lasting changes for the children.

About the role

Your main responsibilities include:

• Care in the form of direct treatment work

• Network contacts

• Documentation and development work

We work with evidence-based methods, primarily Connect (which targets parents and others caring for placed children to develop understanding and new skills in relation to the child) and LAB (low-arousal approach).

We are primarily looking for substitute staff. Work occurs during the day, evening, night, and weekends. Salary is according to agreement and other compensation is according to collective agreements. Start date is according to agreement.

As a person, you are responsible, relationship-building, flexible, and secure. In this role, it is important that you show great empathy while also having the ability to set boundaries when needed. The work involves close and trusting collaboration with your colleagues, so you must have good communication and collaboration skills. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Before employment, a background check will be conducted.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has previous experience in treatment work.

• Has a two-year post-secondary education as a social pedagogue or treatment pedagogue

• Has good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing

• Has good computer skills as documentation is extensive

• Has a B driver's license
