At the Social Services Department, we work in an old candy factory with a rooftop terrace where we can enjoy a lovely coffee in the sun from time to time. We have a lively coffee break tradition where homemade baked goods are often served. The office is centrally located, within walking and cycling distance to many meetings, the central station, and a vibrant city center offering restaurants, cafes, and shopping. The workplace is located in close proximity to Nolhaga Park, which offers beautiful nature for lunchtime walks. There are also jogging trails, an outdoor gym, and we have access to showers. The Youth Division includes five units consisting of two investigation units for children and young people, family support, family law, and foster care.

WORK ASSIGNMENTS

The position involves serving as the responsible social secretary for children and young people placed in foster care. You are responsible for follow-up and lawful authority exercise, while building trusting relationships and ensuring that the child's needs, rights, and participation are at the center throughout the process. The role involves some travel.
Your tasks include documenting, investigating, and making decisions according to current legislation. You monitor the child's development and care during placement and conduct regular individual conversations with the child. Furthermore, you ensure the child's participation and that the child's voice is heard, while collaborating with guardians, foster homes, schools, and other networks. You also monitor and follow up on the child's health, schooling, and social situation.

QUALIFICATIONS
Requirements:
- Social Work degree (Social worker)
- Previous experience in authority exercise within social services
- Category B driver's license
Merits:
- Experience in foster care
- Experience with the Lifecare system
Personal qualities:
We are looking for someone who is stable, structured, and has the ability to create and maintain good relationships. You have a well-developed ability to collaborate and can work solution-focused even in complex situations. You will serve as a key person for the child and need to be flexible and good at collaborating with everyone around the child.
Personal suitability is highly valued.
Employment type: Permanent.
Duration: Start date by agreement.
