We are looking for several summer substitutes in personal assistance. Our summer job period is between weeks 26-33, and there is an opportunity to start as a temporary substitute already in the spring.

NOTE! If you work 8 weeks with us this summer, you will receive a bonus of 6000 SEK! If you also worked with us last summer, an additional 1000 SEK will be paid!

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a personal assistant, you assist the user in their daily living. The work is independent and may involve significant care tasks such as dressing and undressing, assistance with toilet and shower situations, lifting assistance, catheter flushing, PEG handling, tube feeding, and using a breathing mask.

You also support in meal situations, medication, and other household chores, as well as participate in leisure activities, social interactions, and shopping. You become the user’s extended arm in everyday life and work person-centered in a responsible and inspiring manner.

The working hours are irregular and often mean that you work shifts.

QUALIFICATIONS

We primarily seek someone who has completed or is currently pursuing a care education. If you have also worked as a personal assistant with many HSL-related tasks, that is highly meritorious.

As a person, you enjoy working independently and can take your own initiatives. You are attentive to the user’s needs and have a genuine interest in helping other people. Even though the work is primarily independent, you should be able to communicate easily, in a humble and professional manner, with others regarding the user, such as colleagues, nurses, rehabilitation staff, and relatives.

It is highly meritorious if you have a driver’s license, as well as experience and knowledge of alternative communication methods such as signs, pictorial support, and symbols. We also view positively if you have experience with challenging behaviors where you have acted in a low-arousal manner.

You must master the Swedish language in both spoken and written form to communicate with users and to document events and other information in your work. Some digital skills are also required as much of the work - including your work schedule and documentation - is managed via apps.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal qualities and good references. The assignment also often involves long shifts (day and night shifts), so we prioritize those who can work irregular hours, i.e., both daytime, evening, night, and weekends.

Due to the requirements of the Work Environment Authority for care work, you must be 18 years old.
