Job Description
We are now looking for a group leader for our operations at Gudhemsgården Falköping. Here, there are departments for reception and needs assessment (MBB) and treatment. An MBB department is often the young people's first contact with compulsory care, and the focus is on stabilizing the young person's situation and well-being. This requires a strong focus on safety-based and relationship-building work to break a socially destructive behavior such as criminality or substance abuse. In the treatment department, the task is also to offer treatment based on the individual needs of children and young people and the social services' plans and assignments to SiS.
Are you motivated to help young people/clients in vulnerable life situations? Do you also enjoy organizing, leading, and planning? Apply for the position of group leader at SiS! As a group leader, you contribute to a safe and secure environment for both placed children and young people/clients as well as employees. In this role, you actively work in the operational care and treatment work on the department. You are responsible for planning, operationally leading, and distributing the daily work. You act as a role model and promote that the work is conducted legally and in accordance with applicable governing documents, methods, and set goals. You keep the unit manager on your department updated on issues that may affect the work environment, care and treatment environment, or deficiencies in the operations. Introduction and guidance of new employees are also part of your work. You are part of a team with the unit manager and treatment secretary, and you will work closely together to achieve good results.
Qualifications
To thrive and succeed in the role of group leader, you are motivated to work with and help people in vulnerable life situations. The operational work and meeting with young people/clients are your main focus. You are good at planning, organizing, and prioritizing work effectively and are clear in your communication with others. At the same time, you are attentive and affirming in your interactions with young people/clients and colleagues and are good at building relationships. You have a professional approach and a good ability to collaborate and understand others' perspectives. The work can sometimes be challenging and requires you to be stable and maintain calm even in stressful situations.
You should have:
- A relevant university degree with a focus on social sciences, healthcare, or behavioral sciences, or other education combined with work experience that SiS considers equivalent.
- Work experience from SIS and similar assignments is highly valued.
For a group leader to be appointed as deputy unit manager and/or be part of management preparedness, they need to have a university education of at least 180 credits with a focus on social sciences, healthcare, or behavioral sciences.
At SiS, we care about good leadership. This means that you as a leader take responsibility for the whole, act as a good role model, drive development, promote good collaboration, and are clear in your communication. Read more about our leadership.
We want you to grow and develop in your professional role! As a group leader, you will receive solid leadership development and valuable knowledge and experiences to continue developing your leadership within SiS.
