Within the unit for Child and Family Support, we have four workgroups; Foster Care, Contact Support, Child Secretaries, and 2nd Line Family Treatment. We are now looking for a Senior Social Worker for Foster Care.

Foster care is a focus area for us, and we are investing heavily in developing our work with foster homes to ensure that all children and young people in our care receive the safety and support they are entitled to. We are currently working to expand our own resource bank and simplify our work methods and operational systems.

Job Responsibilities

A Senior Social Worker's primary responsibility is to lead and distribute tasks and serve as an easily accessible support in daily work, both individually and in groups. The role also includes representing cases in the Social Authority Board. Senior social workers in the unit lead their own workgroup, consisting of 5-6 social workers, and have a shared overall responsibility for leadership within the unit.

As a Senior Social Worker, you will have a coordinating role and work towards good collaboration with external and internal operations. This also includes planning and developing our operations at the unit level as well as at the operational level, together with unit managers and first colleagues. You provide methodological support and take significant responsibility for the introduction of new employees. You base your work on current guidelines and ensure that the work is conducted legally, is of good quality, and is as resource-efficient as possible.

Qualifications

To apply, you must have a degree in social work. For the position, it is required that you write and speak Swedish fluently. You need to be active and responsible and use a coaching leadership style.

Other requirements for the position include: Documented experience of authority exercise in the field of children and youth.

• Updated knowledge in the field of social work and knowledge of applicable legislation

It is advantageous if you:

• Are trained in and have experience working with Signs of Safety.
• Have previous experience in leadership roles as a Senior Social Worker, group leader, or equivalent within social services
• Have relevant further education
• Have a valid driver's license (category B)
