JOB DESCRIPTION

As a program leader at the probation service, you will be employed as a probation inspector and work with treatment programs for clients currently on probation.

The treatment programs are conducted with high quality and according to the principles of evidence-based practice. They are primarily based on cognitive behavioral therapy. We use treatment programs addressing crime, violence, substance abuse, and sexual and relational violence. The combined program offerings mean that you will lead several different programs. Our program offerings consist of individual programs. Although the treatment programs are conducted individually, teamwork and participation in collegial supervision are a significant part of the job.

The role includes close collaboration with the probation inspectors handling the case so that the treatment program is integrated with other interventions made during the client's enforcement. The position also includes administrative tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is secure, stable, and has good self-awareness. You have a good understanding of how people absorb knowledge and adapt your way of conveying messages according to the recipient's conditions. In your professional practice, you have good judgment and integrity. As a program leader, you need to have good collaboration skills and be able to communicate clearly. The role requires you to be self-driven and have the ability to work in a structured way. You should also have a physical condition that allows you to act physically if the situation requires.

We are looking for someone who has:

• A university degree (at least bachelor's level) preferably in behavioral science, law, social work, or social sciences, or another academic education combined with experience that the Swedish Prison and Probation Service deems relevant
• Experience in client-centered treatment work
• Good knowledge of using the Swedish language in both speech and writing

It is advantageous if you have:

• The Swedish Prison and Probation Service's Program Leader Training
• Training with a treatment focus that the Swedish Prison and Probation Service deems relevant
• Experience working with proven treatment methods, focusing on CBT
• Well-regarded work experience within corrections, social care, psychiatry, or healthcare and social work
