JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a summer substitute in personal assistance, you will work to provide care and support in various life situations, both at home and during activities outside. The work is varied, and the tasks may include educational support in daily life, personal care, and assistance with household chores such as laundry and cooking. The individuals have varying disabilities that mean their support needs vary. As an assistant, you play a significant role in creating a meaningful everyday life and contribute to well-being and independence.

Examples of what is included in the job responsibilities

• Help the user with daily routines.
• Support in communication and social situations.
• Create security and clear structure in the day.
• Light household chores (e.g., cleaning, laundry, simple cooking).
• Accompany on activities, walks, or outings.
• Motivate and support in training, hobbies, or sensory-stimulating activities.
• Personal care (varies based on the user's needs).
• Be a calm, safe, and attentive support.
• Keep simple, clear documentation according to routines.
• Collaborate with colleagues, relatives, or teams as needed.

Within the department, there are also services within short-term supervision, short-term housing, escorting, and relief where the need for substitutes also exists.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who:

• Are at least 18 years old.
• Master the Swedish language well in both speech and writing.
• Have good computer skills.

It is an advantage if you:

• Are educated in, or have ongoing education to become a support assistant, support pedagogue, preschool teacher, or other equivalent education.
• Have experience working with the target group, or have several years of work experience in another profession.

We place great importance on personal suitability and are looking for someone who is an empathetic, calm, and responsible person. We believe you have a strong interest in human behavior, psychology, and communication.
