The Movement Organ Center, Umeå is a University Hospital Unit (USVE) where research and student supervision are a natural part of clinical everyday life.

The Movement Organ Center Umeå is responsible for Orthopedics in the northern healthcare region, which includes the four northernmost counties. The Movement Organ Center is divided into the sections of Arthroplasty and Tumor, Factum, Trauma, and Spine, all of which conduct thousands of patient visits, treatments, and surgical procedures annually.

Within the Movement Organ Center Umeå, there are outpatient clinics, inpatient wards, day surgery units, administrative units, and orthopedic technical centers. Our care is characterized by a holistic approach where many different professional categories are engaged in the patient's care process and collaborate for the best results with the vision of keeping Norrland on its feet and in motion.

We are now looking for a medical secretary

We are now looking for a medical secretary to our knowledgeable and experienced staff at the Orthopedic Clinic in Umeå.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a medical secretary with us, you will have a fun, interesting, and meaningful job in a learning environment together with knowledgeable colleagues. You will be offered a varied job and will be an important part of our operations.

The tasks included in the position encompass, among other things, care documentation and diagnosis classification within inpatient and outpatient care, mail handling, both digitally and in paper format, as well as registration in national quality registers. We place great emphasis on orthopedic diagnosis classification with individual onboarding and further education for the entire group. We also have ongoing work regarding routines and improvement efforts.

You will receive thorough onboarding from experienced colleagues where you will be gradually introduced to the various parts and routines of the job.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is an educated medical secretary or healthcare administrator. If you are currently undergoing training and are expected to graduate soon, you are also welcome to apply.

We are looking for someone who is engaged in and takes responsibility for their work. You are interested in improvement work, have a solution-oriented approach, and the ability to handle varying workloads and pace. To thrive in the role, you need to have good collaboration skills. You should also be able to work independently when needed and have the ability to adapt to the situation.

It is an advantage if you have professional experience and are accustomed to working in the journal system Cosmic as well as with diagnosis classification.
