Controller for the Education Administration

YOUR ROLE

As a controller within the Education Administration, you will encounter a wide variety of tasks. One area focuses on creating clarity, quality, and good decision-making support in the administration's work. You will work with qualified analytical support and be an active participant in budget and forecasting processes, financial follow-up, and reporting. Through close collaboration with managers and those responsible for results, you will support issues related to finance and resource allocation and provide analyses that strengthen governance and decisions within the education sector. The role is close to operations and involves proactively identifying areas for development, proposing measures, and following up on results.

Another area of work focuses on a broader perspective where you contribute to quality assurance, process development, environmental monitoring, and the development of financial tools and methods. In this area, you will also lead or participate in investigations, produce reports and decision-making materials, and present these in various forums. Your responsibilities also include leading, supporting, and educating on financial processes and strengthening the overall analytical capacity of the Education Administration. Through structure, clear communication, and a holistic perspective, you will contribute to a cohesive and long-term financial support for the organization's responsible managers and management teams.

YOUR COMPETENCE AND EXPERIENCE

We are looking for someone with a university or college degree in finance or another equivalent qualification. You have experience working with budgets, forecasts, financial follow-ups, and reporting, and you are accustomed to working independently with analysis and decision support.

You have a good understanding of how business systems and decision support work and are used to compiling data from various systems to create reports and analyses. You have excellent skills in Excel and can quickly adapt to new digital tools.

You communicate well in Swedish, both spoken and written, and can tailor your message according to the audience's needs. You have the ability to clearly and pedagogically explain financial relationships and contribute to increased understanding within the Education Administration. You are comfortable presenting financial information to both small and large groups and educating and supporting managers on financial issues.
