Controller for the Central Staff of the Social Office

YOUR ROLE

As a controller, you will be a strategic partner to managers in one of the social office's departments. You make it easy for managers to make wise, fact-based decisions by producing analyses, following up on operations, and contributing high-quality forecasts. In practice, this means you work closely with the operations as a sounding board throughout the governance process – from planning and implementation to follow-up and analysis.

YOUR COMPETENCE AND EXPERIENCE

To function and thrive in the role, you need to have a university degree in economics and experience as a controller, preferably from a larger or politically governed organization. This role requires you to quickly understand the needs of different operations and work analytically to see connections, wholes, and consequences. This is important because your analyses have a direct impact on the quality and development of the operations.

We are looking for someone who easily builds trusting relationships and enjoys collaborating. This is necessary for you to be a reliable support to the managers and contribute to good cooperation within the staff and the organization. You also need to communicate clearly and pedagogically, both orally and in writing, as you often make complex information understandable for others.

YOUR NEW WORKPLACE

The Economics and Quality Development (EKU) unit is part of the central staff of the social office and consists of four units with approximately 40 employees. Here, you will be part of a competent group where we work together to provide support to the operations in economics, quality, and development. Our operations face both opportunities and complex challenges as Skellefteå grows rapidly – and you will play an important role in this development.
