Do you want to work closely with the business and be an important support in large and complex construction projects?

We are looking for a driven and meticulous project economist who wants to contribute to our projects being delivered with high quality, good profitability, and stable financial monitoring. At Peab, you will have a role with great responsibility and the opportunity to influence.

This is a "rental recruitment" with a start as soon as possible. Selection is ongoing. The process includes a background check.

About the position

This is a broad and business-critical role where you work closely with project management and become the financial engine of the project. You are responsible for the project's financial planning, monitoring, and analysis.

This includes, among other things:

  • Ongoing financial monitoring
  • Forecasting and budgeting, risk analysis, and cost control
  • Management of customer and supplier invoices
  • Monitoring contracts and change order management
  • Reconciliation of finances, production goals, timelines, etc.

The person we are looking for wants to develop further in their role, for example, by supporting purchasing and quality, environment, and work environment tasks.

Who are you?

We welcome both those who are at the beginning of their career and want to develop in project economics and those who are more experienced and looking for a new challenge. For us, personality and attitude are just as important as the number of years in the profession.

You who are applying have:

  • Post-secondary education in economics or construction, or equivalent experience
  • Good understanding of project economics and financial flows
  • Good knowledge of Excel
  • Ability to interpret and understand regulations and contract documents
  • Ease in building trust and good collaboration skills
  • Structured working method and a solution-oriented mindset
  • Swedish in speech and writing
  • Driver's license B

Experience from the construction industry is an advantage but not a requirement; the right attitude and willingness to understand the business are crucial.
