Your new job

We manage a number of projects in Umeå, including new construction and tenant adaptations. As a project controller, your main task will be to support and follow up on our construction project operations. The work involves, among other things, providing decision support, assisting with analyses, working with ongoing follow-up, and supporting the reporting of project costs.

As a project controller, you will have a social role with many points of contact, primarily internally but also externally. You are an important part of the budgeting and forecasting process where you support the operations and also take responsibility for certain parts of the execution. You will also be responsible for our internal project management system and for developing routines, working methods, and processes. There are good opportunities to influence and shape the role over time.

You will belong to our finance department and work closely with the construction project manager and project leaders in daily operations.

Your profile

We believe you have experience from a similar role; as a project controller or accounting economist, as well as an education in economics at an academic or vocational level. Experience from the real estate, construction, or contracting industry and/or project-based operations is seen as meritorious.

As a project controller, you are an important support function to the operations, and therefore you need to easily interact with others, listen, but also be good at explaining financial relationships in a pedagogical way. You are strong in analysis and structured in your work. To succeed in the role, you also need to have a clear operational perspective and an ability to understand what drives results in our various projects. You are driven by contributing to the success of others and constantly improving both your work and how we follow up on construction projects within Balticgruppen.
