About the Job

Service of process means that we ensure the receipt of legal documents from one or more of the Enforcement Authority's operational processes. This is crucial for the recipient's ability to assert their rights.

Your tasks involve going out on customer visits independently. Often, you will drive to the customer's home or workplace. Your customer visits involve handing over and serving a document. The documents may include applications, enforcement or debt restructuring decisions, among others. The role includes administrative tasks at the office, such as phone contacts to prepare for customer visits and follow-up work to finalize your cases.

You will be part of a section that collectively takes responsibility for results, planning, and workload distribution. This occurs in dialogue with the section manager who supports you and the workgroup in achieving the section's goals. To provide the best conditions for customer meetings, there will regularly be working hours during evenings and weekends, and overnight stays may also occur.

Everyone working at the Enforcement Authority contributes to the fight against crime. Your tasks include identifying and preventing attempts at criminal activity and notifying other authorities about suspected crimes. As a process server, you may, for example, alert other authorities that a person is receiving benefits on incorrect grounds. This can result in you helping to stop incorrect payments from the welfare system.

The position is based at the office in Skellefteå.

Your Qualifications:

• High school diploma
• Driver's license for a manual transmission vehicle and good driving experience
• Good IT skills and experience working with various IT systems
• Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both verbally and in writing
• Current experience in answering questions and conveying information succinctly and pedagogically in direct customer interactions

It is desirable that you have relevant work experience in handling physical meetings with people in difficult life situations. Since a large part of the work is conducted in the field and involves a lot of driving and physical movement, it is also desirable that you have relevant work experience in a physically demanding job.

Good to Know

The employment is permanent and begins with a six-month probationary period. You will be employed as a process server. Working hours are distributed during daytime, evenings, and weekends.

Working in the government means that you adhere to the government value base. There are also special requirements for judgment, security awareness, and compliance with applicable laws. We ask questions during the interview about any previous criminal activity and shortcomings in previous employment. For final candidates, these questions are also posed to references. We also gather information about debts registered with the Enforcement Authority, bankruptcy, and business prohibitions. The information obtained will be considered in the overall assessment of your suitability for the position.

Employment with us may involve placement in a security class. A security review with a background check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted before a hiring decision. For some of our tasks in security class, Swedish citizenship is required.
