We are now looking for new colleagues for employment as substitute teachers in preschool and/or school.

Are you wondering what it would be like to participate in preschool children's development? Teach 4th grade in mathematics? Welcome children to after-school care after the school day ends? Or perhaps challenge 9th graders in physical education? When our regular staff is sick or on leave, our children and students need a reliable and engaged substitute. Perhaps you have been a sports coach, youth leader, or want to work extra during your studies? You might be a newly retired person with valuable experience to contribute? Job Responsibilities

Our operations include preschool, after-school care, preschool class, primary school grades 1-9, and adapted primary school. Being a substitute with us means you may have the opportunity to try several different assignments within various operations depending on what you are most interested in. The job means that you will be asked at short notice (often the same morning) to replace regular staff when they are sick or need to be absent. You can greatly influence your schedule by entering your available time in an app. You will then receive requests based on the times you have specified. As a substitute, you help create a meaningful experience for our children and students.

In preschool, you become an important part of the children's daily lives. We offer you an exciting and fun job where you can contribute to their learning and development. Daily tasks include play, conversation, singing, drama, and art. It is important that you focus on the children and are engaged with a strong sense of responsibility.

In primary school, you support both teachers and students throughout the school day. You may also have the opportunity to substitute as a teacher and teach our students using both teaching materials and other teachers as support. You may also act as a resource person in a class. With routines and pre-established planning as a starting point, we provide you with the best possible conditions regardless of the assignment you take on.

Requirements

To work as a substitute in Vänersborg Municipality, you need:

• A completed upper secondary education.
• A valid extract from the Police's criminal record, directed towards work in schools and preschools.
• At least one reference.
• Proficiency in the Swedish language, both spoken and written.

Do you want a chance to come for an interview? To be considered for an interview, you need to attach your upper secondary school grades and prepare a reference with your application.

Criminal Record

You can apply for your record extract at polisen.se. The extract is valid for one year from the date of issue.

Qualifications

We prefer that you have the opportunity to work at least two days a week and can work at several of our preschools/schools in the municipality.

We are looking for someone who enjoys meeting new people, is flexible, and open to new challenges. You should have good collaboration skills and, above all, want to fulfill a very important role for our children and students! No one expects you to know everything; however, as a substitute, you must be attentive, willing to take initiative, and able to follow instructions. In return, we promise you will learn a lot - about yourself and others - which you will find very useful.

We prioritize individuals with the right competencies for the operations and place great importance on personal suitability. We expect you, as a temporary employee, to be a good ambassador for our municipality and a good role model for our children and students.
