The Gothenburg Primary School Administration is one of the largest school administrations in Sweden. We are responsible for the city's municipal schools from preschool class to grade nine, adapted primary school, culture school, and after-school care. The administration has 138 municipal primary schools where nearly 47,000 students attend school every day. The entire administration has about 9,700 employees who collectively work to develop and take care of the operation - together we pave the way for the school of the future.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Santosskolan is located at Campus Lindholmen and started at the beginning of the school year in the autumn of 2015. The school accommodates just over 420 students in grades 7-9 and about 50 staff. Since autumn 2021, we are part of the Hisingen 8 school area, together with Herrgårdsskolan F-6.

We now need to strengthen our wonderful staff group with a special education teacher in mathematics for grades 7-9.

The job responsibilities will include conducting special education in mathematics individually and in groups, conducting assessments and screenings, contributing to development work, participating in EHT, conducting investigations, and writing action plans. The work also includes mentoring educators.

You have experience and knowledge of students with autism and other NPF. You are skilled at creating inclusive learning environments and building trusting relationships with students while maintaining good contact with their homes. You adapt the leadership and stimulation of teaching according to the students' needs and strengths. You are flexible and have the ability to adjust your approach and communication with students based on their functional variations and can help students interpret different situations and social contexts.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a certified primary school teacher with qualifications in mathematics and trained as a special education teacher.

You are good at building relationships and creating good collaborations with teachers, EHT staff, guardians, students, and external actors.

To thrive in this role, you should gain energy from contributing to others' learning and create conditions for learning to occur. As a person, you are calm and stable and have the ability to create a safe environment for all children. You have good collaboration skills and are driven by working with other people. You find it easy to build good relationships with children, colleagues, and guardians, as well as listen, communicate, and resolve conflicts constructively. Your creativity inspires others and creates engagement. You are happy to contribute ideas and new ways of thinking to continuously drive the operation forward. You act based on vision, goals, and policy and contribute to the school's learning and innovative climate. You are quality-conscious and come up with your own suggestions on how we can contribute to development.
