The Gothenburg Primary School Administration is one of the largest school administrations in Sweden. We are responsible for the city's municipal schools from preschool class to grade nine, adapted primary school, culture school, and after-school care. The administration has 138 municipal primary schools where almost 47,000 students attend school every day. The entire administration has about 9,700 employees who work together to develop and take care of the operation - together we pave the way for the school of the future.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Trulsegårdsskolan is a grades 7-9 school located in a picturesque area of northern Torslanda, close to forest and sea. There are good transport links, and you can travel from Hjalmar Brantingsplatsen to the school in about 15 minutes. There are 540 students and about 60 staff members.

We believe that education and teaching are important and strive to create a creative and enjoyable learning environment that provides young people with self-confidence, self-awareness, and self-esteem. We take this so seriously that we make sure to have fun while we work!

Our music teacher will soon go on parental leave. The position consists of music teaching in all grades and additionally Swedish for one eighth-grade class. If you have qualifications in subjects other than Swedish, you are also welcome to apply. You will collaborate with another music teacher at the school, and there is a local pedagogical plan that works very well. You will be a mentor for a class together with another teacher.

There is much to say about the school. In addition to having nice facilities, which after almost 19 years feel carefully established, our students must be mentioned. 540 students who want to do their very best, both in studies and friendships, create a school with solid learning and great safety.

The school ranks about fifth in the city regarding students' knowledge results in municipal primary schools, which we are both proud of and want to improve further.

After the students, the staff is our most important asset. You will have colleagues who are competent and show great enthusiasm in their work. Everything at the school works well, but we also want everything to get better. Your presence can be an important piece of the puzzle in this work!

The temporary position extends until June 2026. The position is full-time or 80% if there is interest in that.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a primary school teacher's degree and is a certified teacher in music and possibly another subject.

You have good knowledge of meeting children's various needs, have good organizational skills, and are well acquainted with digital teaching materials/compensatory aids.

We seek someone who has a strong commitment and interest in working with educators to create the best conditions for our students throughout the day. Furthermore, you have good collaboration skills, are creative, and see opportunities in the situations you encounter in your professional life. Good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues are essential for you.
