Knappekullaskolan is centrally located in Lerum, close to public transport. Interest in the school is high, the number of students is increasing, and we currently have about 500 students in grades F-5 and an integrated Adapted Primary School. We have a very good collaboration with guardians, a good reputation, and high application pressure. In recent years, we have actively worked on learning environments (physical, social, and pedagogical) as well as classroom leadership. Our goal is for the students at our school to reach as far as possible based on their conditions. At our school, we have a high degree of certified and qualified teachers. The main task of the work team is to create a whole around the student and work towards accessible learning environments and clear and relational leadership based on current governing documents.

We are in the process of building a new school that will include grades F-9. Our new school is expected to be completed in 2027.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Through your engagement, you will lead and stimulate our students towards both knowledge development and social development. Your leadership is characterized by sensitivity to the individual needs, interests, and development of the students. We are looking for someone who can and wants to guide students' creative work from idea to finished product. It is the craft teacher's task to create conditions for students' learning and ensure that they use tools and machines safely. In the craft subject, theory and practice are combined in creative processes.

We are looking for someone who wants to help develop the activities at our school for our students. You will offer students opportunities to develop their skills in various crafts and techniques. You will allow students to work with different materials and develop their knowledge of color, form, function, and construction. You will have close collaboration with your craft colleague and be part of an extended work team with other teachers at the school.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a certified teacher qualified in crafts. You are well acquainted with the school's governing documents and work with them in a natural way. You have an inclusive perspective and the ability to see how the individual student's needs can best be met. You view development work as a natural part of the teaching job and want to collaborate with the school's other educators. You are goal- and result-oriented, have good leadership qualities, and have a holistic view. Through a conscious approach, you create safety, trust, and good relationships. You have the ability to be a qualified conversation partner in pedagogical matters for colleagues, parents, and other stakeholders. You are creative and stimulated by challenges, flexible, and easy to collaborate with.

As digital tools are an important part of our operations, you need to be familiar with ICT. We place great emphasis on personal suitability, especially regarding approach, low-affect responses, and collaboration skills.
